WMC in China 2012

E-mail Print PDF

This year's MCR World Mahjong Championship will take place in China. Date and location is not finally settled yet, but the organziers are considering Chongqing in late October.

Chongqing landscape

Chongqing is situated in South-West China, south-east of Chengdu where the WMC 2007 took place.

Chongqing is rich on history and culture. In the surrounding area are mountains, caves and rivers. The city's location in the Sichuan Basin causes it to have some 100 foggy days a year, earning it the nick name "capital of fog". October, however, is supposed to be the best season for clear weather.
