Dear Board, It is with great regret that I am writing to inform you that the World Riichi Championship 2020 has had to be postponed. This has not been an easy decision to come to and we are well aware that some players will have made arrangements, including travel and holiday time, to attend the event. By the time the pandemic was announced, we were already so close to the event that we did not want to act in haste. However, as the days went by, it became clear that not only would proceeding be difficult but also perhaps impossible.

We are happy to announce that the second World Riichi Championship will be held in Las Vegas.
The event will be held late September/early October 2017 shortly to be confirmed.
David Bresnick (USPML and WRC2017 host) and myself will be visiting Las Vegas this month to finalize the details. We will keep updating you with news as we can to ensure you can make your plans in advance.
